ViPER verb lexical database

ViPEr

ViPER is a verb lexical database with +7,000 verb senses, along with their structural, distributional, and transformational properties. The verb senses are classified based on the main syntactic properties of their construction. Around 70 formal classes have been devised. For each verb sense, its properties include: the number or arguments (1, 2, 3 or 4), the preposition introducing the complements, their different pronouning (case) forms, the arguments' semantic roles, and some general transformations: passive, both with auxiliary 'ser' and/or 'estar' (be), reflexive pronoun passive or 'neuter' passive; and symmetry. Each verb sense is provided with an illustrative, manually crafted example.
